Paul Battie – 40 Years with Celsur Plastics Ltd
Paul Battie specialist in welded office stationery files and folders.
Paul’s expertise in the production of office stationery files and folders began at Celsur Plastics in 1978. Over the years the growth in Celsur Plastics has seen many other varied products manufactured in house. We now have the benefit of holding the tooling for many thousands of products enabling us to offer a wide bespoke range of office stationery files and folders and much much more to our many valued clients.
Thursday 5th July 2018 saw us celebrate in style the remarkable 40 years’ service of Paul Battie.
We were joined by Paul’s joint Managing Director Kalana DeZoysa and our previous Managing Director Richard Freeman who worked with Paul for many many years alongside a number of other employees. We celebrated in the sales office (So we didn’t lose any valuable production time 😀 ) with a light lunch and of course a glass of bubbly to toast Paul’s success. Although we are pretty sure Paul had more than 1 😮 .
Paul first joined Celsur Plastics as Production Manager. At the time Celsur Plastics was a small company with just 25 members of staff. Within 5 years Paul was offered a directorship and the following years saw a dramatic growth. From 1 small unit Celsur Plastics grew into 5 units and over 100 members of staff.
1996 saw Celsur Plastics move to our present site, 30,000 sq. ft. and up to 120 members of staff.
2016 saw Richard Freeman’s retirement from Celsur Plastics with Kalana and Paul become joint Managing Directors.
It is a fantastic achievement in this day and age to complete such a milestone of service and we are grateful for all the hard work Paul puts in to keep the Celsur Plastics office and factory running as it does.
We hope Paul’s remaining years with Celsur Plastics will be as equally succesful.
